Richard Thies Shares Memories of the Cold War in a BTN Documentary

We are fortunate to hear the recorded voice of beloved Richard Thies in the Big Ten Network documentary, Cold War: Illinois Stories, which was created by the Big Ten Network Campus Programming unit at the University of Illinois. The documentary tells four stories of individuals/programs affected by Cold War politics following WWII. The late Dick Thies was interviewed in 2019 to share his experiences and insight as a student at U of I in the 1950’s; the program first aired on September 29, 2021.
