John Thies Receives “Pillar of the Bar” Honor

Last night Shareholder John Thies received an elite recognition from the Champaign County Bar Association. Along with retired Federal District Court Judge Harold A. Baker, retired Sixth Judicial Circuit Judge Heidi Ladd and Attorney Wendy S. Bauer, he was named a “Pillar of the Bar.” This honor is bestowed on Champaign County Bar Association lawyers and judges who exemplify professional excellence, dedication to the advancement of the bar, and a high level of community leadership.

Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Rita B. Garman introduced Mr. Thies and presented him with this prestigious award. Illinois Supreme Court Justice David K. Overstreet was also present, as were many other members of the bench and bar. In the photo above, Justice Garman is presenting Mr. Thies with a plaque commemorating the occasion held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign.
